Actor Tamer Hegres Celebrates Birthday on November 6 — A Look at His Career

Egyptian actor Tamer Hegres celebrates his birthday on November 6, marking another year in a career that spans a range of supporting and leading roles across film and television.

Hegres made his screen debut in the feature film Barqan Al-Ghadab (literally "Volcano of Anger"), sharing the screen with actress Fedra. He later gained wider recognition for his role alongside celebrated actor Adel Imam in the film The Danish Experience, in which he played one of Imam’s four sons — a part that helped consolidate his presence in Egyptian cinema.

On television, Hegres has taken on a variety of parts, appearing in series such as Amaakin fi Al-Qalb (Places in the Heart), Qalb Al-Dunya (Heart of the World) and Qalbi Yinadik (My Heart Calls You). His TV work spans social drama and character roles that support the main narrative arcs.

In 2006 he was cast opposite leading actress Yousra in the feature Ma Teegy Nargos (Shall We Dance?), marking one of his early headline roles. The two also partnered on television in the series Khas Giddan (A Very Special Series) in 2009, and Hegres made a guest appearance in the first four episodes of the drama Lahzat Hariga (Critical Moments) that same year — moves that underscored his recurring collaborations with top-tier performers.

His filmography also includes titles such as Amaliat Khassa (Special Operations) and El Balad Di Fiha Hokouma (This Country Has a Government), the latter co-starring Ola Ghanem, Hedy Karam and Ezzat Abou Aouf. These projects reflect a versatility that spans comedy, drama and suspense.
