As part of EMPC strategy to attract foreign producers to film their productions at our studios and back lots, in addition to, Egypt Film Commission’s efforts and services, offered to international production companies wishing to film their productions in Egypt, the American producer and actor Odain Watson paid EMPC a visit to see its studios, technical centers including the Audiovisual Heritage Restoration center and the Sound studio.
Watson expressed his admiration with what he saw especially the technical centers and the back lots which are characterized by their various architectural styles.
Watson is considered one of the prominent cinema celebrities. He has a lot of experience in the fields of theatre, cinema, TV and musicals. He is also well known for his roles in a number of famous American movies.
After the tour, Egypt Film Commission General Manager, had a meeting with Watson in which they discussed aspects of mutual cooperation including the project of producing an American soap opera to be filmed in Egypt. He also explained the pivotal role played by the Commission in offering all customs and logistics facilities to international production companies through full coordination with all the concerned authorities according to the one stop shop system, which facilitates filming without any obstacles and offers top notch services and competitive prices.
It is noteworthy here to mention that Egypt Film Commission is the only authority responsible for obtaining all permits required for filming in Egypt. It has received a lot of Hollywood and International stars and supervised the filming of a number of productions, reaching 100 works, during the past period that included various nationalities all over Egypt historical sites.
Opening New Horizons of Cooperation between EMPC and ICESCO
Today, Abdel Fattah El-Gibaly, EMPC Chairman of the Board and Ahmed Sami, Head of Egypt Film Commission have received the international star Mina Massoud during his visit to the city.
EMPC expresses its gratitude and special thanks to the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Tourism and Antiquities, the National Security Authority, the Military Intelligence Administration, and the National Security Sector for their constructive cooperation with Egypt Film Commission at EMPC
H.E Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Egypt and the permanent representative at the League of Arab States, praised the strength of the Egyptian-Bahraini relations and the distinction they are currently witnessing at all levels.
The international American Movie production company SKYDANCE has finished filming parts of its latest movie “Fountain of Youth” at the archaeological pyramids plateau in Giza. The movie is directed by the famous director Guy Ritchie and starred by Hollywood stars John Krasinsk and Natalie Portman.
Magic Land Al Hokair Company, owned by Abdul Mohsen Al Hokair Holding Group, a leader in the field of tourism and entertainment, in cooperation with the EMPC, launched the “Tanza” project according to the usufruct system, which is considered the largest integrated entertainment project in Egypt
EMPC and the Arab Satellite Communications Corporation (Arab sat) announced the launching of a new agreement that includes a number of fields of cooperation. It comes within the framework of the joint cooperation protocol and to complement the strategic partnership between the two parties.
