H.E Dr. Ramzan Bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, the Bahraini Minister of Information, praised the technical and artistic capabilities of the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC), including its technical centers, which are comparable to international ones, and state-of-the-art studios, describing EMPC as a great media edifice of which every Arab is proud.

This came during Al-Nuaimi’s visit to EMPC, accompanied by a high-level official delegation, within the framework of the participation of His Excellency at the head of his country's delegation in the meetings of the Council of Arab Information Ministers hosted in Cairo from 20th to 22nd of this month.


Al-Nuaimi expressed his great admiration for what he saw during his tour around EMPC technical centers and outdoor shooting areas. He expressed the sincere desire of the Bahraini side to put plans and memoranda of understanding into effect to start cooperation with the city and benefit from the experiences it possesses, especially in the field of training media cadres, exchanging visits between the two sides and benefitting from the services provided by its technical centers.


Al-Nuaimi and the accompanying delegation started the visit by watching a propaganda film about EMPC. Then, they visited the Center for the Restoration of Film Heritage, which preserves the audio-visual heritage from damage and old age. Al-Nuaimi expressed his desire to benefit from the center's services in restoring Bahraini documentaries, and to start developing appropriate executive formulas in this regard.


The Bahraini Minister of Information and the accompanying delegation visited the UP SKILL Training and Development Center and were briefed on the training programs it offers. The delegation also visited the Dolby Atmos studio, through which the latest sound recording technologies in the world are applied, and which has international accreditation from Dolby International.


After that, the minister and the accompanying delegation headed to the outdoor shooting areas, where they witnessed the state of intensive activity in preparing and setting the decorations and the various shooting locations, in preparation for the start of shooting the series of Ramadan. In this context, EMPC is keen to provide all possible facilities to produce Ramadan series in the best possible way.


The delegation also visited a number of the city's famous channels’ studios, including the studios of the ONTV network and CBC channels, and they expressed their admiration for the state-of-the-art technical equipment and cameras that these channels possess.


At the end of the tour, the Minister and the accompanying delegation had a free tour around the Movenpick Hotel-Media City, and saw a number of the halls that are suitable for organizing major conferences, as well as the artistic activities and entertainment services provided by the hotel.
