Sometimes, coincidences may change one's whole life. That's exactly
what has happened to "Abbas", the history teacher, who goes to Iraq
to improve his financial standard. There, he falls in great troubles
forcing him to escape from the police. In the middle of all this, he
stumbles across "Lotfy's dead body. He takes his passport to save
himself but to his surprise, he finds himself falling under an
imprisonment sentence for twenty years.
"Abbas" returns to Egypt to find Lotfy's family waiting for his
return. He tries many times to tell them the truth but, at each
time, he hesitates refusing to destroy their illusionary happiness.
By time, he copes with his new family and even solves their
problems.
On the other hand, "Nahid", Abbas's wife, denies him completely as
she's afraid lest her kids lose his uncle inheritance. Despite
everything, "Abbas" goes on in his attempts to prove that he's still
alive.
