Incidents of the past never die. They may disappear for some time
but sooner or later, their shades will show up again. That's exactly
the story of "Laila" and her daughter "Hend" who return to Egypt
after living for twenty years in the USA.
"Laila" has left Egypt after her husband's assassination by an
anonymous gangster. When she visits her village, she tries to avoid
any kind of contact with "Fahmy", the one who has killed her
husband. In his turn, "Fahmy" is extremely afraid lest she would
know this secret.
Gradually, Laila's relation with "Fahmy" gets stronger, but without
knowing anything about his secret. Also, her daughter falls in love
with "Khaled", Fahmy's son.
Finally, "Fahmy" reveals the secret to "Laila", the matter that
makes her realize that she's in a very critical situation. At the
same time, Fahmy's partner in the crime decides to kill "Laila",
but, "Fahmy" sacrifices himself for her sake, dying in her arms. His
last will was to keep his secret away from his son to enjoy his life
evading the past miseries.
