The hara (the popular or rather the populous alley) has a very special appeal to television and cinema producers. This is why EMPC has visited and recreated the day-to-day aspects of life in hara.

The area spreads over 68 thousand square metres, where hara, both in the past and at present is reproduced. A true-to-life representation of the Gamaliya district (old Cairo) also stands in existence, here.

In the design of hara, much attention was given to providing spots for natural light to filter in.
