The EMPC comprises studios of various areas for television production based on the highest international technologies of building and equipped with the latest international digital equipments, and huge high technology lighting grid. It comprises 54 studios that are distributed on three complexes.
The Mubarak International Studio Complex
The Mubarak International Studio Complex is built over a 400-thousand-square-metres. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology supplied by the most advanced international companies working in the field. The project is designed to stand out as the core of EMPC. The Mubarak International Studio Complex has 18 plateaus ranging between 900 to 100 meters, each complete with the technical support units needed for drama and show productions. Most major series and soap operas, aired on both Egyptian and Arab local and space channels over the past years have been produced here.
The Complex studios vary in size and some allow for as high as three-storey decorations to serve the various needs of drama and variety show productions. Compound B comprises 8 plateaus ranging in size from 150 to 600 meters. Compound C is spacious enough to hold three 600-metre plateaus well-suited, along with the above, to broadcast via NileSat.
The studios are all equipped with up-to-date newsroom and news-reporting technologies. Direct connectivity with the satellites allows for receiving and re-broadcasting correspondents’ reports via NileSat.
All studios, big and small, are digitised. They are supplied with:
Cameras with varying range lenses.
Digitised photo-mixers.
Computerised visual effects units.
Monitors.
Sound-mixers, CD players and special effects units.
Telephones.
Screen-readers.
Wired and wireless microphones.
A cold light network, complete with all kinds of flashers and filters and hooked on to a computer control unit, where the lighting specifications of each production is stored, retrieved and adjusted as needed.
A control room unit, which makes it possible for the director to monitor his team on the set by means of several cameras, and enables him to retrieve the many voices and images stored in the units attached to the plateaus.
Additional cameras, laser lighting and sound recording equipments may be ordered as needed.
