"Mahmoud", the 50 year old academy professor, teaches his students the principles of acting theoretically without ever practicing it. His life runs smoothly though routinely. Till one day, everything turns upside down when he discovers his wife's treason.

This shock makes him realize he has been a captive for a long series of daily rituals and customs invented by him. Consequently, he decides to break all bonds of emotional and human stagnation.

With the help of his old friend "Abdou", he gets to know "Hend", the amateur actress. He is overwhelmed with her beauty and vitality but, unfortunately, he has nothing to offer her except self-conceit.

"Hend" keeps up her acting career neglecting Mahmoud's arrogance. She also helps her friend "Tarek" to resume his career as a photographer and turn a leaf together. Realizing the big gap in their ages, "Mahmoud" decides to overcome his sorrow, restarting his life in an optimistic manner.
